This incredible property held a rich history, but its future was uncertain. A developer had plans to tear down this stunning 1924 built Colonial Revival home in Eastmoreland to make way for new construction. Fortunately, a neighbor with a vision stepped in, purchasing the home with the intent of restoring it to its former glory. We were honored to partner with them on this journey, starting with a full renovation of the main house.
Several years later, we were thrilled to return and tackle the basement conversion project – turning it into a luxurious and functional home addition through a complete basement remodel.
The "before" photos hint at the potential that lay beneath the surface – a typical unfinished basement space awaiting a new purpose. Our clients envisioned a space that could serve multiple purposes: a private bedroom suite, a dedicated gym, a functional office, a vibrant entertaining area complete with all the amenities for hosting, and an elegant whiskey bar and kitchenette. This was an ambitious project, perfectly aligning with the needs of homeowners looking to maximize their living space.

A Warm and Inviting Entertainment Area, Defined by Natural Wood Elements:
This space is anchored by stunning custom wood features that bring warmth and character to this basement conversion. The bar area boasts a unique live edge countertop, showcasing the natural beauty of the wood. Complementing this are custom half-round tables with sleek metal bases and a striking coffee table, possibly featuring a unique resin inlay, adding organic textures and visual interest. A custom live edge wood display stand elegantly mounts the TV, tying the natural aesthetic together throughout the room, as seen in the stunning "after" photos.
Luxurious Bar and Kitchenette:
The entertainment area features the aforementioned stunning live edge wood countertop on the bar. The adjacent kitchenette features elegant onyx matrix countertops, providing durable and visually appealing surfaces. The kitchenette, complete with a stainless steel refrigerator, ample cabinetry, and a sink, makes hosting a breeze.
A State-of-the-Art Workout Room: We created a dedicated gym featuring full coverage interlocking rubber sports tile flooring for safety and comfort. Floor-to-ceiling mirrors along one wall, complete with a ballet bar, create a spacious feel and cater to various workout routines. Full glass walls allow for natural light and maintain an open connection to the rest of the basement, creating an inspiring workout environment. This is a fantastic example of the personalized spaces we can create with a basement remodel.
